Alimentation Couche-Tard inc. has two classes of common shares: Class A Multiple Voting Shares and Class B Subordinate Voting Shares.  Class A is mainly held by incorporators and certain institutional investors.  Class B is normally the most negotiated since it is held by a greater number of shareholders. Each Class A carries 10 votes and each Class B carries one vote.

Does the Company pay a dividend to its shareholders ?
On November 15, 2005, the Company’s Board of Directors adopted a quarterly dividend policy of Cdn$0.025 per share on Class A multiple voting shares and Class B subordinate voting shares (the shares).

With the aim to maintain the return on investment to our shareholders, the Board of Directors has adjusted upward the quarterly dividend to Cdn$0.035 per share.
